This Chu Ka Shuen cried as if he represented all the people of HK against this lonely giant, the HK gov. But who the hell can he claim it? He is a rich man in fact, so would concern little about actual economic development. If you ever live or work in HK island, you will know how the severe congestion problem is , how much time and money wasted. The construction of a bypass is top urgent for HK, the point is to strike a balance between this and protecting the harbour, which the gov has done, but not simply say you Chu wants a fabolous harbour and gov should sit down and listen, and costing us taxpayer $1m a day just to please you and a handful others in HK.

In any event, the court DID NOT rule the suspension of the central reclamation, it merely ruled the gov should ONLY proceeds with projects which are essential and urgent and with minimal impact on harbour (not that it prohibits reclamation). The media hardly correctly reported it and are hugely bias and misled the public, so is this CHu who said gov did not respect law and court decision, but which part did the gov disobey? The fact he is a lawyer highlight more than he acts more out of emotions (for being not "respected" by gov).

本人覺得除了個海，還有好美麗的山脈。好希望有心人會保護，這才是有山有水的香港。
大家試留意淘大花園後面個山，已是光光的，從香港望過去，冇咗很大片，十分難看。本人也心信這很影響健康....條脈也斷咗.......

孫明揚:中環填海沒準備停工[12:44]

中環填海計劃3期主要在天星碼頭至會議展覽中心之間填海造地18公頃，預計於2007年9月竣工。（劉焌陶攝）

房屋及規劃地政局長孫明揚表明，中環第三期填海工程是合法的，政府沒有準備停工或延遲工程。

孫明揚重申，中環第三期填海工程合法，沒有違背早前法庭對灣仔北填海工程裁判的三大原則。

他強調，政府沒有任何停工或延遲填海的安排。他指出，工程一旦有延誤，政府有可能要面臨承建商索償，按照合約，估計每延誤一天要賠償一百萬元。

孫明揚強調，其實保護海港協會的方案與政府的方案內容很相近，他希望與協會方面加強了解和溝通，消除誤會。

保護海港協會主席徐嘉慎則表明不會讓步。他堅持政府要在下周三限期前暫停填海工程，否則協會會向法庭申請司法覆核，要求發出禁制令。徐嘉慎又說，不會與孫明揚見面。

徐嘉慎擔心，過份填海會影響維多利亞港的保育，亦嚴重打擊將來的旅遊業和船務發展。
